I love how you captured his stance and the look on his face. Simply amazing Tamy! And it’s okay to use, and be ‘bossy’…
beautiful colors!
Now you know I had to read this, when I saw the title. That lizard looks almost human.
He looks so…pensive.
Can lizards be pensive?
Very cool and great shot.
King of the rock!
He looks like a grumpy pants lizard. Must have eaten a bitter bug… (love this photo and I’m amazed you were able to get so close or did you cheat with a telephoto lens?)
Are you saying you’re feeling bossy?
I didn’t know such spectacular lizards dwelt in Oklahoma rock.
That is an awesome shot! Our lizards are always much too fast for me to capture on film.
rockin’ in style, for sure!
Ooh!!!! I love him! He is mighty handsome, but looks a little cranky! He probably has wimmen troubles! GREAT photo and poem combo!!! I was thinking of posting poem tomorrow…after NPM is over. Ha! HUGS!!!
PS…Well, as far as I’m concerned, you are THE Boss of the Wild West! PSS…funny that we assume it’s a “he”. Would you turn him over and check this out for me?! I won’t be able to sleep tonight, until I know if he’s a he or he’s a she.
pretty colors!!!
Lizards must be the pretty thing of the day I had a little green one in my house I had to catch and put outside
I don’t think I’d want him to be my boss. He looks like he’d be a bit hard to please.
Wow. Call me a nerd but he just blends in with the theme of your blog so beautifully! Great shot!
you can skeer up some singers four part harmoney… and remember don’t be afraid to make a mistake playing moosic just make sure to make it twice so you can pawn it off like you meant it all along
Great photo

A beautiful green lizard . I believe I saw the same in North Africa, in the past . But … are you sure it is not a young dinosaure ? Thanks for your kind comment and wishes , Love

you can use the boss word all you want…that is a spectacular lizard!
Tough-looking dude.
I enjoy the use of the word, lizard, and the word, boss, in the same poem.
He looks more like a chamelion than a lizard. He is so colorful.
as Julie said I am startled that some one able to earn $6254 in one month on the internet. have you seen this site link http://www.wow83.com
@chronic_masticator - Maybe he’s contemplating the Blank Slate Theory. He’s probably wondering if this woman’s wild behavior was learned or gained through genetics.
@GoneRetired - He appears to be filling that role to its fullest.
@murisopsis - I thought the same thing. If ever they make the movie Grumpy Old Lizards, this is their reptile. No fancy lens, just some slow moves and sweet talk.
@distractedbyzombies - My bossy genes are genetic. This is Oklahoma’s state reptile, the Collard lizard.
@tkperito - I agree. He is lookin’ good in the Oklahoma hood.
@adamswomanback - hahaha! I ain’t touching that grumpy lizard with a ten foot pole. I can safely assure you he is male and we can forgo the personal examinations. The male Collards have these beautiful colors! Sweet dreams.
@Tempguestbrief - Those pretty colors mean he is male. The females are more neutral in color.
@SisterMae - You caught one??? Did he try to bite?
@ata_grandma - He does have that look about him, doesn’t he?
@Passionflwr86 - You made me look, and they totally do. Even the yellow is there in the eprops symbols!
@uglygreensofa - It seems to work, in this lizard’s case.
@ZSA_MD - The Collard is Oklahoma’s state reptile. This male’s color makes me swoon.
But your use of the word BOSS worked so well in both situations. I tried to work the word into my response, but I’m stumped. Been a bit spacy lately. I think it’s just being “on” for the boys while Steve is at the new duty station…doesn’t leave much room for brain function outside of the babies.
@WildWomanOfTheWest - I knew he was a male because of his bright colors. Those males of the species always have to stand out! I just wanted to tease you about checking out his personal parts.
I love lizards, and that one’s a beauty!!!
Cool pic!
Everyone on God’s green earth has a calling. Somehow, I think yours is grander than that!
Great photo! Great lizard.
@BigToePeople - You be loving the babies like a freaking boss mom. When will you get to follow to the next station? Is it still Amarillo?
@adamswomanback - I think you should make him some of those party pants.
@lonelywanderer2 - I still do not tire of gazing upon their beauty. I just wouldn’t let him hear me say that.
@RighteousBruin - I don’t know. I don’t take lightly the capturing of these creature’s beauty. I am honored.
@WildWomanOfTheWest - Yes, it’s still Amarillo. We’re having a house built in Bushland. Steve is already living in Amarillo during the week, in a hotel suite (EXPENSIVE!). We tried to join him, thinking a vacant house may sell better, but we can’t find anything that works. So we’re resigned to a commuter relationship and staying in our current house with a fenced yard that’s already childproofed. Looks like we’ll join Steve in late June. I gather you guys are moving…do you have a time frame?
that’s a great lookin’ lizard.
this is a beautiful lizard. is this a mountain boomer?
@BigToePeople - How exciting, though challenging, I’m sure. Hopefully, June will come quickly for you! Time frame for us is whenever the ranch sells. Bob was laid off from his job today, but is talking with an affiliate company who wants to hire him. They are talking through the details now. So our path may be changing??? Expecting BIG things!

@ordinarybutloud - Totally.
@starmanjones -
like Ben Cartwright to Hoss
@fauquet - The Collard is our Oklahoma state reptile, and he does seem to resemble a mini T Rex!
@mlbncsga - I agree, he’s oozing with spectacular!
@Roadkill_Spatula - I wouldn’t want to rumble with him.
@uglygreensofa - It seems to work, in this lizard’s case.
