No Obligation
I fell in love with my husband, as I got to know him.
I did not fall in love with him because of what other people told me about him.It is the same with You.
Others cannot try and convince someone they should love You.
It is something they will discover or not discover on their own.I trust You, so I do not interfere,
for it is man’s methodology and religion
that builds the wall between You and your Creation. The same should be said for one another.
I love the people, because I got to know them without expectation and obligation.Thank You,
for not forcing Yourself,
but letting our spiritual natures be our own. Some say, but if they do not repent before they die
they will surely burn in hell.
I say they unknowingly promote a false god.
You are bigger than deadlines. For when soul leaves shell
and comes face to face with Creator,
man’s distorted images of god will no longer obstruct our view.We will recognize genuine love and melt into Your arms.

Oh, I love this. And you. You’ve got a beautiful soul.
This was beautifully written.
I am so glad that you have found peace and fulfillment with your beliefs.
Love this. ♥
It seems that you have a much better grasp on the religious self than the many, many others that would try to shout the masses into submission unto the Lord.
You are a true Shepard to the flock; you do not force them to cross the stream, you simply show others how to cross over and why it is worth the effort.
@ihaveawhistle - I don’t really consider myself a shepherd, but more of a wood nymph fairy with a flute.

This is so beautifully said and so comforting. TY for sharing this Tamy and big hugs your way.
Well said. In spiritual/religious conversations I frequently some version of ‘How big is the box where you keep your god?”.
It is so beautifully written.
“For when soul leaves shell and comes face to face with Creator, man’s distorted images of god will no longer obstruct our view.” This is beautiful, Tammy.
Hope you are having some good weather out there. Ours is gloomy and overcast and we have had rain all day.
I so enjoy your positive perspective on life. Helps make me a better person. Thanks for the reminder Tamy…
@WildWomanOfTheWest –
A wild fairy nymph of the west?

@martna1 - We had such a warm day full of sunshine. I should have played my flute. My imaginary flute.
Sorry your sky was gloomy, send some of that rain here, our ponds really need it!
@ihaveawhistle - Wild Woodland Fairy of the West. Has a ring to it. But, I am sure ordinarybutloud will insist I add Wicked in their somewhere.
Fabulous. Hands down fabulous. Philosophy, spirituality, materialistic physicality all intertwined and melted into a breathtaking post Tamy. Thank you.
This is just beautiful. Love every word! xo
Preach it….well said.
Beautiful. The picture goes so well with it too.
Those who talk of hell, and of saying the magic words so that they will know if they want to be friends with you or not, haven’t interpreted much of the Bible in Greek. Hell and damnation came into the picture around 600 AD, when the Vatican took it upon itself to re-write the texts that had been around a long time, and had not spent their precious hours threatening people. If you are a Christian, you have to look at how Christ lived, and the second commandment, which sadly, has gone astray with the rich class governing the country for the rest of us. If you are not a Christian, you probably look at those of us who are and shake your heads, with all the in fighting and judgementalism, even within it’s own churches. The most peaceful group of people I’ve ever been around were Buddhists, complete and total pacifists, unwilling to fight or harm another. When my dad came home from the 2nd world war, 3 years in combat, he was so fed up with the fighting, and people acting like he was some kind of hero because he killed, that he got rid of all his guns. I never saw a gun growing up, and we never went camping, because he refused to live like he did in the war. It’s a shame we can’t just stand up at the table and shake hands with those on the other side, and work together to make life better for the poor, and the middle class, who will be the poor in ten years. Prayer, medication, walking, reading, playing with my grandson, all bring peace, but there needs to be something we are working on to help others.
Lovely on a Sunday morning!
Beautiful words from your beautiful soul.
This post reaches into every corner of my soul. It’s one I’ll bookmark to read again and again when I forget how to put into words the way that I feel about what an ugly thing “religion” has become. You’re my favorite wood nymph fairy, and I’ll happily prance with you.
You made me tear up and get a kleenex. Wonderful post.
thank you, Tamy.
I don’t know what else to say.
