Good Things Come in Orange Packages (elf on the redneck shelf #8)
Seems there are a few bleeding hearts around here who think I am a little too rough on Elf Boy. I say if he can’t handle the heat, don’t tickle the dragon. Or a wicked wild woman when she’s cranky.
Looks as though Elf Boy may be getting a break and go on that permanent vacation he’s been dreaming of this season. Kathy over at @armnatmom has graciously offered a non-violent space on her shelf for him. A place to frolic and play like all Christmas elves deserve. Bahumbug.
Since my non-compliant digestive system keeps me from functioning like a member of the human race, I am afraid my mean-streak is lacking and I will not be able to give Elf on the Redneck Shelf the integrity it so deserves.
So, this will be our farewell Elf on the Redneck Shelf post. I want to thank all of you mangy varmints for being so enabling of my obsession.
To air hole or not air hole, that is the final question.

my grandson believes in the Elf but he kind of forgets cause he’s got a little wicked streak to him.
he walks behind the tree and granny said,”oh,oh, be careful.”
I’m sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well–hope you feel like your usual “mean” self soon. Will be sad to not see Elf in trouble.
I hope you feel better, RIGHT NOW! *waves magic wand*
Oh, Tamy — I hope youo feel better soon — Elf Boy will never be the same!
May every breath you take, heal and fill you with renewed energy. I’m going to miss the (looks from side to side) laughs that elf and you provided. How about a last shot of you drop kicking the package? hahahaha. oops did I say that outloud?
“au revoir ” Elfes but ” Bonjour Tami” .
Take care of you
Love
Michel
Oh, so sorry to hear that. I asked my brother about his Crohn’s at Thanksgiving and he was very glad to report that he got over it 15 years ago. I am remiss in not keeping up but, girl, there’s hope! Prayin for ya!
I hope you feel better soon! Give you a hug then!
No air hole. It was fun while it lasted.
Feel better…..
I’m sorry you’re not feeling good, Tammy… I don’t blame ya a jot for sending the elf packing, who needs the extra stress?!
Tape it over and be happy!! Merry Christmas!
no air hole, you know how sneaky those stinkin elfs are – he’d probably morf into a midget elf and escape thru the air hole and just like an old cat you try to take down a country road – poof there he’d be at your door step/shelf again. Not that I’ve ever had a cat
Feel better soon
Oh my goodness this is so darn cute I will miss effboy… I sure hope you feel better soon wow this has been a long haul for you…
Elf Boy is running away. We don’t tolerate runaways at our house. It’s a good thing he’s headed for SC.
sorry that you can’t keep on but glad you know your limit. take care of you
I’m surprised the air hole is even a matter of debate. Clearly no air hole is the answer here.
Oh no Tamy. I really am saddened by the news of you not feeling well.
I truly was enjoying Elf Boys antics at your ranch. And the way you presented his tales, had me laughing hysterically each time I read something he did. Even though I felt sorry for the boy, you gave him such meaning and purpose. Throughout it all, I do hope this season will be meaningful to you and your family someway, somehow. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) and all my love……
As much as I will miss the redneck elf series…….I do hope that you feel better soon!
Feel better. You’ll probably feel way better without that sneaky elf around spreading Christmas Cheer, er grumpiness!
Tamy, feel good soon.
I am sure Kathy will have the elf on a pedestal.
I am very sad to hear that you are not feeling well. Perhaps Kathy will continue the series – or at least a kinder gentler version! hehe! I vote no air hole. Better to be a little blue than cold and wet…
I do hope you get to feeling better very soon! Take good care of yourself. And I say no air hole for that useless elf. Make sure put enough postage on the box. You dont want it returned postage due!
Hope you feel better soon.
Haha, gonna miss the elfboy posts. Hope you feel better soon!
Get well soon!
As we say in Cleveland… there is always next year.
Feel better soon, so you can enjoy Christmas. I enjoyed the elf antics, I vote for no airholes, must send him off in true Wild Woman fashion.
Well, I’m going to miss these posts! I really enjoyed them!
Hope you feel better real soon!!
